This book "You, the Animal - You, the Human Being", has brought me one step closer to the animal kingdom because I now understand how the use of gestures and body language is a clear way of communication. This goes both ways, for example, what does the animal sense from me if I am the taller one and smile, does it look like I am showing my teeth? From this book I see that in order to sense the world of animals, and also plants and minerals there is something required of me; I need to overcome whatever is still with me that is not coming from a place that is peaceful and loving as the animals are especially sensitive to things that are not seen on the outside. I am beginning to notice that some of the animals I encounter do appreciate the fact that I do not eat meat and this helps to build the beginning of a relationship. I would recommend this book to any one who considers the animals their friends.
