Excerpt

The question comes to me: What is normal, what is addiction? Where is the borderline? How can one recognize what is going on in a person? Can you please explain this in more detail?

The prophet:

What are programs of addiction? Let’s begin for example with normal sexuality, with a very normal glass of wine, with one, two, three, four, five cigarettes a day. When there are smaller or greater difficulties at work, with our friends or family, and we do not resolve them, then we move them around over and over again in our thoughts. In this way, the energy-volume called “difficulty” increases. It becomes a problem which not only moves us, but keeps us a prisoner in our thoughts for days at a time. Since we do not talk about it in order to resolve it, it grows out of our subconscious, as it were, resulting in a huge pressure on our consciousness.

We think and think. These thoughts circle around the problem-complex again and again. The pressure becomes greater and greater. It now pushes on our everyday habits. Suddenly the usual three cigarettes a day turn into ten. The normal physical drives begin to push us into looking for a sexual object. The person who is under such pressure seeks relaxation, that is, the discharge of tension. Until now, he drank two glasses of wine, or one or two glasses of beer every day. Now he reaches for the bottle of wine or perhaps for stronger alcoholic drinks, or it has to be several bottles of beer every day.

If the problem keeps growing and turns into several problems which, starting from the job, encroach upon the family, or starting from the family encroach upon the job, or starting from one’s friends encroach upon job and family, then the pressure becomes ever stronger. The one concerned wants to rid himself of it. Instead of dealing with the root of the evil, which lies at work, in the family or with friends, he detaches himself briefly from this field of tension, by relaxing and at the same time numbing himself through an increased consumption of tobacco, through more and more frequent sexual activity, through alcohol. In this way, the programs of lust and addiction develop which have taken root in the subconscious but also in the soul of the one concerned, because they were moved about for a long time.

Once the subconscious is so filled that it dominates the consciousness, that is, when it has become autonomous, then these programs of lust and addiction become compulsive. The person is then driven to multiply these addictions. This often goes so far that he is hardly able to put a stop to these vices any longer. The resulting excesses can then be theft, drug addiction, brutality, violence against children or in sexuality and much more.
